Verse Trap Poems

These poems were all written during pride month using the awesome prompts provided by Ryan Stephen Thornton at Poet Chaotique.

I’m not going to be able to do the prompts justice but trust that they make sense.

Life has made me woefully late in posting these pieces but that’s the nature of things sometimes.

Even though the month has come and been, the issues our rainbow identifying friends face continue, so there’s never a wrong moment to support the community.

I hope these bring a giggle..

Spread Across the Table

Your limbs splayed
Straddling the bonnet
I gently press down my thumb
Hearing the static crackle
You hum into vibration
Quivering beneath a starry sky
Your voice rises as I apply pressure
Responsive to my touch
You bend and sway with my direction
Heat flashes through your face
Our eyes meet with a passionate intensity
We are one
Moving effortlessly
Connected by satellite constellations
I hold you tight and watch you soar
Until your wings grow tired
Guiding you to my gentle embrace
With pneumatic sighs
You fall asleep
Quiet and beautiful
Nestled against my palm

Lust in Space

Things are getting Sirius
We should do it like the dogs
Start slipping off Orion’s Belt
Make it right there with the gods

I’ll get down on my knees
and have you screaming stellar!
My orbit always aims to please
Like a cosmic gimp, I’m tethered

Voluptuous eclipsing kiss
Trace my comet down your thighs
I’m a dwarf and you’re a shining centaur
All I want to do is ride!

You’ll be twinkling in the heavens
Pounded hard with asteroids
It’s hot in here like Tatooine
I’m your loyal battle droid

You’re all that matters in the dark
Our planets will align
Traverse me like a wormhole
Come explore my space and time

I’m hung here like a satellite
I’ve got a big old Brian Cox
I’m assessing you for minerals
I’ve been getting off your rocks

Do like your arms strong?
Have you seen my lance?
The giant step for this kind man
Is taking off my pants

You’re my Nebula, Neutrino
My exploding neutron star
It’s countdown time, we’re taking off
In the backseat of my car

Entering your atmosphere
I think I’m burning up
Ground control to Major Tom
Are you receiving all this love?

A cuddly Hubble bubble
In the space debris and rubble
I can hear you loud and clear
Landing safe
No shuttle trouble

The subtlety of charm

The subtlety of charm
Blushing cheeks beside a smile
I thought that I was wooing

It was the track pants all the while..

Scintillating conversation
Your beauty quietly reviled
I thought my light had warmed you

It was the track pants all the while..

Cast a shadow of a mystery
Am I handsome in this light?
I thought I was beguiling

It was the track pants all the while

Languid sweet beneath the covers
Dreams of lovers skin so mild
I thought that I had come to you

It was the track pants all the while..

Thanks for reading!
