Do adults still remember,
how to roar like dinosaurs?
Or have they let their blood run cold
and filed down their claws?

Has time wrinkled them like reptiles,
and left their voices weak?
Lazy mammals built for comfort,
with not much need to speak.

Do adults still remember,
How to snarl and bare their teeth?
Or do they just pretend to smile,
Always playing make believe?

Has the comet gone and faded,
From their old and weary eyes?
Did they turn to fossil from a fantasy,
and let their dreams all die?
